TEST BIKE DAYS
We’ve been holding test bike days in Afan Argoed since 2003 but this year we’re upping the number of dates and branching out to Cwmcarn as well.

We’re holding four test days from each mountain bike centre starting at Afan on 17th Feb (returning April, June and August). Cwmcarn’s first test day is on 16th March (returning May, July and September).

All eight days will be perfect to test ride that new bike you’ve been reading about for months. We have an awesome fleet of full sus Giant, Scott and Specialized mountain bikes which will pretty much float anyone’s boat but we also plan on inviting other brands to join us as well. We’ll post more about that closer to the applicable dates.

SHOP TESTS
Not available on those dates? We also let our fleet out via our shops on non test days. We run it slightly differently in that we charge £25 for a 48 hour period. We then turn this into a voucher to be used in our Swansea or Cardiff store. Whether that’s used against a new bike or a load of inner tubes is entirely up to you (even give it to Uncle John or Aunt Joan if they’ll get more use).

This isn’t an around-the-car-park affair. We want you to test the bikes in the environment they were designed for and ride a shortened version of the Penhydd trail (missing Desolation and Hidden Valley). The route is cut back to approx 12km which will take most riders between 40 and 80 minutes.

BIKE SETUP
We’ll tune the suspension to suit you: your riding style, your size and weight. This will help improve your experience of full suspension. By all means bring your pedals along and we’ll fit them for you. That goes for saddles as well.

If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your stead or have always ridden a hardtail and wanted the chance to see what all the fuss is about, then this is definitely a day for you.
